The Friday Fix #4

HAPPPPY FRIDAY! November. wowza. I officially bought this blog ONE year ago.. Holy cow. Of course, it was entirely a personal diary for more than 3/4 of its life due to my inability to believe that anybody would be insane enough to actually read it, but who’s keeping score. Today I decided to switch up The Fix into a 4X4. Four things (I needed) of four things (you might need) in honor of the 4th Friday Fix. How far we have come <3

Alright lets get this thing rolling.

Holiday Season Upon Us + Basic Invite (For a Basic Girl)

In the football industry, we ignore a lot of holidays – straight up pretend they do not exist. One of them that we skip (in addition to Christmas, New Years, Halloween, Easter, etc.) is my all time favorite, Thanksgiving. Yep. The two holidays we DO get off?? Try to guess them. No guess since I ruled them all out?? I’ll tell you – Memorial Day Weekend and Fourth of July.  The two best holidays of the year for me personally. HOWEVER, I have moved past the days of complaining, and into the days of obsessive over-planning. I too can have a Thanksgiving and feel thankful if I plan it that way. In college I hosted one of the best Friendsgiving’s of all time. We had our, less than beautiful, five tables pushed together in our 1950’s campus home that spread from the dining room into the kitchen lined on both sides with all of our dearest girl friends. It is a memory that I will hold forever dear (in addition to beating Michigan for the fourth time in a row a few days later). So that being said I am bringing it back. Friendsgiving on the Tuesday before most people go home for the Wednesday to get their official drink on.

Take Back Time – 4 Productivity Hacks You Need to Thrive

I feel like I am damn near a quarter life crisis {makes sense because I am 25 in March} and on the cusp of something that leaves me half awake all through the night, could be greatness, could be paranoia. Whatever it is,  I cannot seem to get my brain to turn off. What should I be doing, whats the plan for the week, how will I fit this in–blah blah blah blah.  I work a full time job {8-5p, Mon-Sat}, love this crazy and totally time consuming blog, and try to maintain fit chick/fun chick/health chick, etc life—Everyday battles that I think we all find ourselves in.  I wonder sometimes how my mom ever got anything done with all these things AND a kid {God bless her}. Until Hot Tub Time Machine becomes a reality, I couldn’t figure out a way to CREATE more time BUT there were certainly areas that I could take BACK time within my everyday routine. Here is what I have found helpful so far.

The Friday Fix #3

How did this Friday get here so quickly… rhetorically of course, I know exactly where it went and it has been a good one filled up with as many outdoor activities before we enter the dark arctic tundra of winter…. I luckily got to sit out one winter last year being in Houston, but oh boy are we back!! && I am going to be shook. I digress, here are some things I have been loving or been asked about and feel the need to share with all of you lovelies!

  1. Car Oil Diffuser

My mom surprised me last weekend with this little gem and I {and all my friends despite their unwillingness to admit it} am obsessed with it. Never on an insta-story have I gotten so many replies-haha! So I am sharing it with all of you. I put in three drops of either tea tree oil or eucalyptus and fill the rest with water. Lets not get it twisted, I am still a psychotic driver but this little guy at least lets me pretend to be calm and at peace with my chaos.

The Friday Fix #2

Rise and Shine, its Friday. I need this one more than usual- reason being? No explanation, but here I am. I have a pretty fun weekend planned around Columbus with one of my best friends coming to visit and bae still being in town. But before I get after it, enjoy some Friday goodness that has gotten me through the week, SPLASH:

  1. Cold Brew Latte Pops

Wowza, these are amazing. Way better than carrying my cup of 100 degree coffee to my car, that when I arrive is then 120 dayum degrees. (I have a small commute to and from my car #citylivin). I get these tasty treats at Trader Joe’s whenever I am patient enough to make the commute. I LOVE YOU GUYS

Four Mid(ish)-Year Resolutions

4 Mid(ish)-Year Resolutions:

I had a break through this morning mid back/chest day at the gym. I needed some goals. Not January 1 goals. Not even a perfect June 1st half year set of goals. An August 1st “come to Jesus”. So now I will post the goals so that they are PUBLIC and ready to be held to.

Friday Fix 1

You love Fridays, I love Fridays, everyone loves Fridays.

To throw a heap more onto Fridays, I present to you- The Friday Fix. Full of all of my favorite Friday things.

I make no promises to put up a Friday Fix every week because some week, I frankly hate everything…. TOTALLY kidding.

Everything on the Friday Fix is my very own opinion and is never anything sponsored/ paid for. I would love if you all linked up your own Friday goodness so we can all collectively spread some Friday cheer- loud for all to hear (if you don’t know the reference, I need you to skip ahead to December and watch Elf). Lets get rolling

Keeping up with the.. Long Distance Friends

Last year  I moved away from 1. my family, including my small precious baby sister 2. my best friends/college psycho path besties 3. the first real place i had ever called home.
I was so pumped to be a big kid and explore the new world all by myself….. Little did I know that it legit meant I would be by myself, like all the time, 25/8, me myself & I to a whole new level. It wasn’t missing the predicted suspects like our annual Catalina Wine Mixer or Drake concerts that crushed me, it was more the companion-less drives to Dairy Queen at 9pm and loops around the interstate listening to the newest hood rat album that would hopefully lead to giving us blonde heads some street cred. Everything was by.my.self.  **insert clapping hand emoji**

So. to save your Partner in Crime, Best Friend Forever, Sister from another Mister, etc. from all that is lonely, I have compiled a list  of all the things that meant the most to me when I moved here and talked me- NEWLY GROWN INDEPENDENT WOMAN- off the ledge of spending so much time by myself.

About Me

like it love it gotta have itHey fam!
My name is Tori and I am so excited that you have some way or another found your way to my page- I think you will like it here, but I did write it so I may be a bit bias. I am a full-time College Football Fan and employee (how lucky am I?) and a part time everything else that I can get my hands on. I live in the city of dreams- aka Columbus, OH but I love a good trip to just about anywhere and lets be honest, I travel mostly for the food. That being said, Pursuing Posh exists as a creative outlet for my restless mind/soul and as a little entertainment for y’all. Keep in mind that we are on the pursuit together, meaning I am definitely not there yet—its a process here people. I am a Jack of many trades but not quite a master to any yet, so I am excited to learn more about….uh, mostly just “life”…. with you and force you to go on all of  my adventures with me- “Adventures” ranging from a blow-out visit to an impromptu trip to Norway. Eeek

There is an unwritten (and now actually very written) warning for dry and somewhat crude humor around here, proceed with caution, it’s never too late to give me the stiff unfollow/casual block. Just kidding, its not that bad, my Grandma will be reading everything I’m sure and she is a STRICT critic, however: all of my content will be straight out of my own unfiltered mouth. Okay lets do this thing–Talk soon!
